Safety guidelines

  1. Strenuous trek requiring good fitness - steep ascents and long days
  2. Acclimatization days (Dzongri) are mandatory - not optional
  3. April for rhododendron blooms; October for clearest mountain views
  4. Weather can change rapidly - carry layers including down jacket
  5. Permits require minimum 2 people; solo permits not available
