Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Youth Travel India (“we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. We are committed to the principles of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

• Account data: name, email and password hash when you create an account; Google profile basics if you sign in with Google.
• Trip data you save: destinations, itineraries and alert preferences.
• Usage analytics: we use cookieless, self-hosted analytics (no advertising trackers, no cross-site identifiers). Pages visited and anonymous device class only.
• Payment data: processed by our payment providers; we never store card or UPI credentials. We keep only order references and receipts.

What we deliberately do not collect

• Documents in the (upcoming) travel vault are encrypted on your device with a PIN only you know. We store ciphertext at most and cannot read it — nor can anyone we could be compelled to share it with.
• We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

How we use data

• To operate your account, saved trips and alerts you explicitly set.
• To send transactional messages (booking alerts you paid for, account security).
• Marketing email only with your separate opt-in; unsubscribe works with one click.

Third parties

Booking links go to partner platforms (airlines, hostels, bus operators, activity providers) governed by their own privacy policies. Affiliate networks receive an anonymous click reference, never your identity.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correction, or full deletion of your account at any time from your account settings or via the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
