Safety guidelines

  1. Trek opens only from June 1 to October 10 each year
  2. Acclimatize properly - Hemkund Sahib at 4,632m can cause AMS
  3. Carry rain gear - monsoon trek with daily rain expected
  4. The 6 km Hemkund Sahib section gains 1,580m elevation - very steep
  5. Carry insect repellent, sunscreen, and adequate water
