Permits & reaching base

Nanda Devi Biosphere and forest entry ticket plus camping fee paid at the Joshimath or Dhak check-post.

Base: Joshimath. Take the train to Rishikesh or Haridwar, then drive to Joshimath via Devprayag and Chamoli in 9 to 10 hours. Take a cab from Joshimath to Dhak village to start, and return via Auli to Joshimath.
