Permits & reaching base

Valley of Flowers National Park entry ticket at Ghangaria plus Hemkund Sahib gurdwara registration at the forest posts.

Base: Govindghat. Take the train to Rishikesh or Haridwar, then drive to Joshimath and Govindghat in 9 to 11 hours. Walk from Govindghat via Pulna to Ghangaria, and return the same way after the valley and Hemkund day trips.
